The Bascom Center for Arts Sculpture Fellowship

During the Spring of 2017 I was awarded a 3 month fellowship residency at the Bascom Center for the Arts in Highlands, NC. The initiative was to create 3 large-scale site-specific, permanent outdoor sculptures that would be situated along the Highlands Greenway Hiking trail interspersed with the Bascom property. Using donated antique reclaimed lumber and steel I fabricated works that integrate to their surroundings enhancing the hikers experience serving both as trail markers and interactive functional sculptures.
