Indemnify the Means
An abandoned house damaged and sunken constructed from a mix of new and reclaimed wood. A lifeboat davit, built from steel mounted on the roof holds a small weathered dinghy intended as a means of escape in the event of a storm or flood.
Recent and all too frequent extreme climate events remind us that hurricanes and flash floods can cause extensive damage and have catastrophic impacts on our lives. These events underscore the susceptibility of even the best prepared to be vulnerable to the overwhelming and deadly forces of nature.
